Youth for Lebanon:Roukaya Eid

Youth for Lebanon Lebanon is the country of peace; this is the message that more than 36000 runners from more than 50 countries cooperate to send to the entire world in Beirut Marathon. For me this event created a new person inside each participant in this crucial running event. For instance, joining this marathon taught me some great principals such as the importance of cooperation in any successful work. In addition, this colorful event fortified me to participate again to help reflecting the real images of Lebanon. Moreover, such event sustains the ideal look of Lebanese knowledge and civilization. On the other hand, I was so exhausted after running more than ten kilometers with the AUB Red Cross team while carrying some big letters to form our banner “Youth For Lebanon.” I was on my last legs and I felt pain in my entire body especially on my legs about three days after the marathon. But the prize worth the price; we were enjoying by taking photo with other participants who were attracted by the banner that hold the name of our country Lebanon. Furthermore, I enjoyed cheering the banner of Lebanon, the Red Cross, and the marathon one. As a result, my voice was concealing the next day, and I was really sick. However, I never stop sending the photo of the marathon to all my friend. Finally, Beirut marathon gave me a bunch of new kind friend who I appreciated working with them and I will never forget them.
