Give Cheerfully and Accept Gratefully

Paula B. Nahoum 8/Nov/2013 “When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” Last week, I participated in a volunteer work under the title of “juice for charity”. The most outstanding thing that motivated me to do that was the credit that had been given to the center of children cancer, and since I am known as a helpful person, I was very interested in helping these people. I did really care about these people who are facing this disease because in them I found the meaning of patience and being hopeful that one day he or she will be cured. It was an amazing experience for several reasons. First, I learned how important helping others is and how it can build my character. Second, I was in a direct contact with other students and doctors to encourage them to buy a cup of juice for helping these people who are suffering from that fatal illness .Furthermore, I improved my speaking skill when I was convincing the buyers and telling them how buying that juice will be a source of helpfulness. Finally, this mission has showed me the importance of working in a team. It taught me that sacrificing few hours of my time for people in need will draw a big smile on their faces.
