Omar Tantawi:Appalling Act !

Appalling Act ! Introduction: Violence is a bloodthirsty monster. This monster destroys every dream, every hope. Violence causes wars, discords. Violence is the knife that injures people. These injuries are extremely painful and harmful. According to a recent study, 100% of people agreed that violence exist. When someone talks about violence, most of people think that we are going to talk about physical violence. Unfortunately, they are wrong; there are diverse kinds of violence such as physical, psychological, verbal violence. All of them pour in the sufferers of humanity. Although there are huge amount of violent people, still people such as Mahatma Gandhi who have been fighting against violence and violent people. For instance, Mahatma Gandhi said,” Non-violence, which is the quality of the heart, cannot come by an appeal to the brain. Nelson Mandela” I detest racialism, because I regard it as a barbaric thing, whether it comes from a black man or a white man.” Although there is numerous people think that sometimes violence is considered as a good solution, however violence cannot be a solution because it has several dangerous effects. First argument: Effects of physical violence Physical violence is the most common type of violence in our daily life. According to a study made on college student, 20% considered violence as a common act. In some cases, physical violence causes death. An unforgettable thing happened in my town. There was a child called Khaled, who has an evil behavior. As usually, his father harmfully hit him for every silly mistake he does. On September 2001, this was his last round in this disgusting act. His father unconsciously was hitting him, therefore Khaled passed away. Why he passed away? Doctors say that he passed away due to a force strike on his spine. Nowadays, Khaled’s father regretfully says,” is it believable? I killed my own beloved son!” In addition, physical violence causes indelible health illnesses. For example,” the story of Tina Nash, whose eyes were, gouged out by her violent boyfriend in a sickening attack, shocked the nation. Now Mum-of-two Tina, 32, has relived her ordeal at the hands of monster Shane Jenkin, 33, who attacked her as she slept at her home in Hayle, Cornwall, in April last year”. Moreover, this gruesome type of violence renders the destruction of many countries. For example, Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombs which is considered as a type of physical violence. In such a way, one can figure out how much physical violence is close to each person, and how much this form of violence has disastrous effects. Finally, violence does not attack people only physically, but also it has psychological impacts. Second argument: effects of psychological violence Psychological violence is the cancer that invades the soul to reflect various egregious effects. This type of violence prongs his victims without any alarm. For one thing, psychological violence affects the social life. For example,” a brain scan study pinpoints the changes associated with child abuse that may raise people's risk of depression, PTSD and addictions later in life.” Moreover, psychological violence leads to increase the risk to make silly mistakes. From my own experience, if I am feeling depressed, I cannot work well in the exam. Seriously, when my friends were mocking on me, I was not able to concentrate or at least focus in my exam. Therefore, I failed my test. Moreover, psychological violence affects person’s behaviors. For instance, many times we do not understand why that guy did that act or why that guy has cursed someone ,and he do not have valid reason? Be sure this act or acts are the results of a previous psychological abuse. As a conclusion, psychological violence affects everyone even in home as a recent study suggested that 64% of people agree that violence is most common at home. However, some people believe that violence has some advantages. Counter argument: violence is the only solution against violent people. Violence is the only way to deal with violent people. This is what violence supporters say following their argument by the example of terrorism. However, looking deeply in the history, violence was not a solution for any problem. In Iraq, there was a violent president; he practiced countless types of violence on his nation. Therefore, the US invaded this country aiming to stop violence. Indeed, the US used violence against violence and the result is more violence. Today, terrorism widely exists in Iraq. Another example is in Syria, in which the president is using violence against violence. Solving violence by violence is unwise. In fact, in Syria, each day come accompanied with hundreds of death in people, therefore loss of millions of dollars is the solution against violent people! Violence can never be solved by violence. The only solution is to fight against violence using peaceful strategies. For example, India liberated from Britain governs without using violence due to Mahatma Gandhi believes against violence. To sum up, violence always cannot be the solution against violent persons, and the humanity should wisely fight against violence. Conclusion: Overall, violence has hundreds, or millions of deleterious effects must wisely be solved. Physical and psychological violence are two faces of one criminal called violence. Usually, dangerous criminals should be treated carefully, because they are extremely perilous. In such a way, we should defend ourselves against violence by keeping in mind that any unwise act can has unfavorable effects. Although violent people are countless, violence will disappear one day.
