Sawssan Maksoud:Lifting People Up

Lifting People Up As Kim De Blecourt said, “We, who have so much, need to reach out to the orphans of this world and show them the care, hope, and love they deserve.” Have you ever experienced the loss of a parent? Do you know the hindrances that get in the way of orphans? Losing a parent is something that everyone dreads. But only those who have experienced the loss of a parent can truly comprehend the enormity of the loss. Losing a parent is losing a part of you. I experienced the loss of my father and this tempts me to thinking about helping other children and teenagers who face the same experience. So, if I am wealthy I’ll distribute my money to many social organizations that take care of orphans and support them financially and emotionally. Orphans need support and protection. Moreover, they deserve dignified life like us. They shouldn’t feel that they are ignored and unequal to another people. They should live life to the fullest without deprivation and need. Orphanages are the places where orphans grow up, and feel in tranquility and comfort. Therefore, orphanages should be equipped by good things that make orphans comfortable as they are in their houses with their beloved families. Furthermore, orphans should study in good schools and interact with other children to become effective people in the society. Sympathizing with other people and being generous is one of the loftiest things that make you happy and tempt you to have self-satisfaction. Thus, I want to say as John Holmes said, “There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”
