Blom Bank Trip As Albert Camus said, “Some people talk in their sleep. Lecturers talk while other people sleep” .Did you ever visit bloom bank in Verdan Beirut, and know its services? If not, you should know more information about the bank which is one of the most important Lebanese banks. On Saturday February 8, 2014, I gathered with my friends in front of the Medical Gate at 8:45 a.m. at AUB. Then, we went to blom bank by bus to attend a lecture entitled “Banking for Non-Bankers” organized by Blom Shabab. We ascended to the fourth floor where we should assemble. After few minutes, a beautiful woman entered to the hall and welcomed us kindly. Then, she began talking about the bank and its good services. Moreover, she showed us the difference between credit and debit cards and how we use a credit card. She asked us a lot of questions about economic issues related to the bank’s work. We interacted with her effectively by asking and responding questions. Furthermore, she talked about personal loan and how beneficial and helpful might a personal loan can be. She also told us the importance of the insurance offered by all banks and how we can create a new bank account and about banking secrecy. In addition, I remembered that she explained to us how we can calculate the interest of the bank easily and rapidly. I liked this woman very much because she dealt with us in a delightful manner. She is very intelligent and kind. Besides, she was very confident. I learned from her the manner of presenting and making excellent power point presentation. Finally, it was really a great experience. I understood almost all the banks’ operations. Thus, this program organized by Blom Shabeb was very interesting and beneficial.
