Sawssan Maksoud:Warm Lap
As Mitch Albom said, “There's a story behind everything. But behind all your stories is always your mother's story because hers is where yours begins. Have you ever thought that your life will stop without your mother? Do you feel that life becomes so vague and meaningless without her? Mother is a word which involves many wonderful characteristics that put it in an important rank among the people who appreciate its value. It occupies a wide space in the books of writers and the copy books of amateurs. In addition, my mother, by far, has the greatest impact on my life. She is the star which illuminates my life. The beauty of life exists in her open arms and her tender lap, her heart is filled with an enormous amount of love and cardinality. Moreover, she is my credible friend whom I tell her all my stories and all my deep secrets because I know that she is the only person that can handle and support me. Moreover, when I fall into problems, I turn my back and I go directly toward her to survive and catch my breath again. She is the light of my life. I can’t imagine my life without her because she is my mother, my father, and my teacher at the same time. She is the teacher of compassion and love. Her ubiquitous tenderness spread the world and goes over the sky to prevail the peace in all territories in the world. Furthermore, she is the embodiment of sacrifice and strength. I watch her sacrifice to offers for us an appropriate life vacant from distress and poorness. My mother shows me that with determination and perservance I can accomplish whatever I want. Moreover, she sought to make my siblings and me strong people with independent minds. She helps us in making decisions. She teaches me the most important thing in life - never give up on your dreams. I thank her dearly for helping me to become who I am today. I would have never made it as far as I have without her help. May God protect her! because she is the flower of my life which entails happiness to my life. Thus, I want to say as ERICH FROMM, “Mother’s love is peace. It need not be acquired, it need not be deserved.”
